This is a NYT poll, gang.

As much as the metaphorical Rachel and Curt's Holy Trinity want to cover up for the Doddering Old Fool's stumbles and stammering mumbles,...

...and as much as our intentionally misinformed Swampcult progressives struggle to Good German themselves into believing that Joe's da man,...

...even Donna's classic low information are catching on. The Former Truck Driver is a "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap."

In a year in which voters are will to find a third-party option, even many Dems don't want Joe to be the nominee.

Behold:

President Joe Biden is struggling to overcome doubts about his leadership inside his own party and broad dissatisfaction over the nation’s direction, leaving him trailing behind Donald Trump just as their general-election contest is about to begin, a new poll by The New York Times and Siena College has found.

With eight months left until the November election, Biden’s 43% support lags behind Trump’s 48% in the national survey of registered voters.

Only 1 in 4 voters think the country is moving in the right direction. More than twice as many voters believe Biden’s policies have personally hurt them as believe his policies have helped them. A majority of voters think the economy is in poor condition. And the share of voters who strongly disapprove of Biden’s handling of his job has reached 47%, higher than in Times/Siena polls at any point in his presidency.

The poll offers an array of warning signs for the president about weaknesses within the Democratic coalition, including among women, Black and Latino voters. So far, it is Trump who has better unified his party, even amid an ongoing primary contest.

The reason for the "unification" is simple - there's no "unification" necessary for the Rs. They run in a pack just like lemmings off the cliff as Indy has pointed out many times in the past. The GOP - not unlike the Ds - is a party with nobody worthwhile they can nominate for the highest office in the land. Trump may or may not be their desired choice (not unlike Biden) - but he is the de facto choice and will be the one on the ballot if the Ds can't hang some kind of conviction the People understand on him before November.

Meanwhile, the Ds have Biden and only Biden who is only popular with the quickly dying out hardcore Democrats (the Hillary crowd) and the anti-Trumpers. Their problem is the left (which is partly D - but mostly independent and actually willing to act independently unlike the Rs) will not automatically show up for Biden at the polls like they begrudgingly did in 2020 UNLESS Biden actually does something for them. He has totally ignored the problems facing this part of the left - the ones that led to a lot of the massive protesting in the wake of the George Floyd murder. So as always - you'll have EVERY R out there - no matter where they fall on the GOP scale showing up to vote. Once again - even peebs here and OD will end up voting for Trump when the time comes. While the Ds (and Indy) will not (like in 2016).

I've been predicting this since the day after Biden was elected and as with almost all of my predictions - it is coming true right before our eyes. And as a sidebar - you'll notice even peebs and OD are not denying they will end up voting for Trump. Because they are Rs, they cannot help themselves - they will be there with their fingers on the Trump button...

Both OD and pb are sayin there's no way that they vote for Trump.

And, Indy, you know freakinfrigginEFFINd@ngwell you are wrong. Just remember how the Dems cheated and colluded to swipe the 016 nomination from Bernie. They all fell in line.

  3. by Indy! on March 3, 2024 11:25 am

No they didn't. Hillary lost because they didn't show up in a bunch of states. I didn't vote for Hillary or Biden. And if memory serves, both you and OD said you voted for Trump both times. You WILL do it again.

  4. by HatetheSwamp on March 3, 2024 11:40 am

Oy. You're now saying that Hillary won the nomination legitimately? I never thought you go there.

  5. by Indy! on March 3, 2024 5:54 pm

No idea how you got anything like that from what I said. Hillary lost fair and square BECAUSE - AS I JUST SAID - a lot of Ds did not bother to show up on election day and vote for her. Meanwhile ALL the Rs showed up on election day to vote for Trump simply because he had the R next to his name.

And btw, that's just one example. The same can be said for...

    Carter/Reagan
    Dukakis/Bush 41
    Gore/Bush 43
    Kerry/Bush 43

And probably some others I'm forgetting.
